2019 Chrysler Pacifica Limited Hybrid (PHEV) Road Trip

We're testing out Canada's electric infrastructure and the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Limited Hybrid to see how our 2,000+km road trip works with a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle.

Last year we drove the 2018 Chrysler Pacifica Limited and named it one of our best vehicles of 2018, but this year we want to put it, and Canada's electric infrastructure to the test by taking the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Limited Hybrid with the S Appearance Package on a road-trip from Québec to Ontario. Our 2,000+km journey in this Canadian-built minivan will test it's versatility as a family hauler, and the electric charging options throughout the Montreal to Niagara highway corridor.

Our full tour and review of the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid goes over the exterior features and changes with the Hybrid version, such as the lack of HID headlights or LED fog lamps, but we do talk about the 360º camera system, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane keep assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, forward and reverse emergency braking, keyless entry, power rear liftgate, automatic opening side doors, and the S Appearance package cosmetic changes.

We jump inside to go over the black on light grey diesel interior along with all the features found on the Pacifica Hybrid, including the 8.4" Uconnect infotainment system, Uconnect Theatre, tri-zone automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof with third zone moonroof, hybrid drive pages, and much more. We discuss some of the changes on the inside of this vehicle over the non-Hybrid Limited we featured last year.

We then take our 2019 Pacifica Hybrid on a road trip from Montréal, Québec along the Autoroute 20 and into Ontario via Highway 401 stopping frequently at OnRoute stops along the way and talking about the electric charging stations, or lack thereof along the way. We arrive at our final destination in Hamilton, Ontario and go over our fuel consumption and charging history before making the 750km trip back to our town.

All in we drove over 2,400km with the Pacifica Hybrid, and our wrap up goes over final fuel economy numbers along with our final thoughts on this Hybrid minivan and the lack of electric charging stations in Ontario.
