2019 Honda CR-V Touring AWD Review

Hot off the announcement of the 2020 Honda CR-V Hybrid, we're looking at the 2019 CR-V Touring and what buyers can expect from this compact crossover.

Our full tour and review of the 2019 Honda CR-V Touring AWD goes over some of the recent announcements by Honda when it comes to the mild-facelift 5th generation compact crossover and what to expect for 2020, including the new hybrid powertrain, and small updates to the exterior and interior design. We go over what's optioned on this fully-loaded model such as LED headlights, Honda Sensing technology, keyless entry with remote start, panoramic sunroof, and power liftgate.

We go over the interior features like the power heated front leather seats with driver memory, rear outboard heated seats, dual zone automatic climate control, 7" infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM, and Navigation, along with the large central storage bin, HomeLink, LED interior lighting, and windshield wiper de-icer. We discuss how some of the interior is shared with other Honda vehicles we've driven like the Insight or the Clarity, and what we think about it.

We then take the 2019 Honda CR-V Touring AWD on a road test to talk about it's 1.5L Earth Dreams engine, CVT, and everything else you need to know about it's road manners and handling. We give our thoughts on the upcoming hybrid CR-V, along with some insight on the issues that were troubling this engine in previous model years.

We wrap up our episode of TestDrive Spotlight by going over our real-world fuel economy testing, what we liked, and what we disliked about the 2019 Honda CR-V Touring.
