2020 RAM 1500 Rebel 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 Full Tour & Review

We've had the pleasure to drive several 5th generation RAM pickup trucks over the past 2 years, but it's the first time we're in this specific configuration. We're out to see if the 3.0L V6 EcoDiesel is the right engine choice for you.

We're behind the wheel of this 2020 RAM 1500 Rebel 4x4 with the 3.0L Turbo Diesel V6 EcoDiesel engine to see how this motor works, the towing capacity, payload capabilities, and what you need to know if you're in the market for a new half-tonne pickup. This RAM 1500 is priced just over $76,000 CAD and is setup as a Quad Cab, 6'4" bed, multi-function tailgate, 4x4 drive, 3.92 rear axle, and Rebel trim for off-road fun.

We focus on this engine configuration and how it compares to the 2019 Ford F-150 Platinum we drove about two years ago equipped with the 3.0L Power Stroke® Turbo Diesel engine. We go over the power numbers with these two diesel engines, towing, payload, and the fuel economy on-paper and what we've tested independently.

We get behind the wheel of this 2020 RAM 1500 Rebel to talk about how it performs on the road in the real world, and some of the reasons we feel you'll want to take this diesel engine over the 3.6L V6 Pentastar gas engine and 5.7L Hemi V8.
